- Open Disk Cleanup tool. Right-click on Start > Search, then type Disk Cleanup. Also, you can open the Windows Explorer (Windows logo + E), then Right-click on drive C:\, select Properties > under General tab click Disk Cleanup button.
- Click on the Clean up system files button.
- Select Previous Windows installation(s). Check the options and click the OK button if you see a warning about this deletion select Yes. It takes time to delete if files are big.
Don’t delete Windows.old folder if you need to downgrade your current Windows installation to the previous version. You have a month to evaluate the current installed Windows version before Windows remove the folder automatically.
